ABLOG
DEFINTION :
A blog is a type of website that is usually arranged in chronological order from the most recent ‘post’ (or entry) at the top of the main page to the older entries towards the bottom.
A blog is a Web page that serves as a publicly accessible personal journal for an individual. Typically updated daily, blogs often reflect the personality of the author.
HOW CAN USE BLOGS:
Teachers can easily use the blog to organize a collaborative learning environment in which students can peer edit others’ postings . Students should be encouraged to comment their partner’s postings, which can also be shared by other classmates.
The advantages of blogs :
1. The consumer and citizen are potentially better informed and this can only be good for the long-term health of our societies and economies.
2. Blogs, in an intranet environment, can be an excellent way of sharing knowledge within the organization.
3. Blogs can be a positive way of getting feedback, and keeping your finger on the pulse, as readers react to certain pieces, suggest story ideas, etc.
4. Blogs can build the profile of the writer, showcasing the organization as having talent and expertise.
The disadvantages of blogs are:
1. Most people don’t have very much to say that’s interesting, and/or are unable to write down their ideas in a compelling and clear manner.
2. I have often found that the people who have most time to write have least to say, and the people who have most to say don’t have enough time to write it. Thus, the real expertise within the organization lays hidden, as you get drowned in trivia.
3. Organizations are not democracies. The Web makes many organizations look like disorganizations, with multiple tones and opinions. Contrary to what some might think, the average customer prefers it if the organization they are about to purchase from is at least somewhat coherent.

ردحذفi am intersting when i read your topic ,at the same time i think while i read how the blogs are wonderful idea to communicate with other friends. i suggest to you to write more about the benifit of blogs for dtudents in EFL clases to be complete in ideas.

Hey Safia you have a colorful post which encourages everyone to read. From the very beginning the agree with you that teachers can easily use blogs to organize a collaborative learning environment, which can't be found in most classes. The modern perspectives to teach language encourages collabrative activities which ensure befitis to eveyone inside the class. They are motivating and change the traditional role of the teacher. Collabrative learning environment maximize intersest among class memebrs as well as teachers.
ردحذفI disagree with the idea that blogs do look like disorganizations. Multiple opinions indicate divergance and support the topic.If we don't argue one another, then we will be similar and that won't show humans creativity.
